Secondhand craft supplies in Exeter

This is where we started. The Secondhand Craft Shop opened in 2024 with one idea: too many perfectly good craft materials end up in landfill, and too many people are priced out of crafting by high street prices. So we rescue donated craft supplies and sell them for a fraction of what you'd pay new.

What's in the craft section

Stock is 100% donated, so it changes constantly — that's half the fun. On a typical week you might find:

Fabric
Dressmaking lengths, fat quarters, upholstery offcuts
Yarn & wool
Full balls, part balls, vintage finds
Haberdashery
Buttons, zips, ribbon, thread, trims
Art supplies
Paints, brushes, pads, pencils, canvases
Papercraft
Card stock, stickers, stamps, scrapbooking
Kits & projects
Part-used and complete, cross-stitch to candle-making
The weird & wonderful
Looms, beads by the jar, things we can't name

Who shops here

Teachers stocking classrooms on a budget. Parents setting up rainy-day boxes. Textile students. Scout and Guide leaders. Serious quilters who know donated fabric is where the treasure is. And plenty of people who just wandered in and left with a project.

Craft prices that make sense

Most craft items are priced in pennies and pounds, not tens of pounds. If you've winced at the price of a fat quarter or a canvas lately, come and have a dig — you'll leave with a bag full for the price of one new item.

Got craft supplies to donate?

We take all craft supplies — even part-used. A half-finished project you'll never get back to is a whole project for someone else.
